The most important training in Martial Arts

Submitted by Martial Art Info on Sunday, 24 August 2008No Comment

With a lot of Martial Arts training nowadays, one might wonder what are the most important training in Martial Arts?

Ask any Martial Art master the same questions, and I’d bet that most of the will give the same answer. The most important training in Martial Arts is the fundamentals, or the basics.

Unfortunately, most of Martial Art dojo at the moment, have forgotten the most important training Martial Arts. Most succumbed to the pleasure of displaying kick ass moves without emphasizing the fundamentals or the basics.

For me, the fundamentals or the basics are the most important aspects in Martial Arts training. If you do a front kick 1000 times a day, do it more. Even if you have mastered a basic kata or form, practice it more, make it more perfect and smoother with each practice.

All the kata and forms have been designed to strengthen all the major muscle groups in your body. If you have mastered all the basics and fundamentals in Martial Arts training, all other training will be easier to master.

I think most of Martial Artist agreed with me on this.
